Travis Investigations, Inc. is a local full service private investigations agency specializing in child custody investigations. While our forte remains child custody work it is by no means the limit of the services we provide. As a full service agency our investigations are well trained in the skills required to meet nearly any investigative need including: location of persons, background checks asset analysis, domestic surveillance, and many more. Although based in beautiful Austin, Texas we routinely perform work for clients located across the state of Texas and in various states throughout the nation. In addition to being locally owned and operated Travis Investigations, Inc., is a female-headed investigation firm in a profession historically dominated by men.
Jamison Travis formed Travis Investigations following her own personal experience with domestic separation. An unexpected divorce left Ms. Travis financially wrecked, without childcare for her young son, and struggling to make ends meet by working multiple part time jobs. These early years were by no means easy and Ms. Travis saved all the capital possible in the hopes of starting her own investigative company while fulfilling her duties as a full time mother to a young child at the same time. It was her goal to provide clients not only with exceptional investigative services but also treat them with compassion and understanding. Her thrifty practices were simply not enough and eventually she was forced to sell the diamond from her wedding band in order to purchase her first piece of equipment; a computer. In 1999 Travis Investigations set up shop out of a bedroom in Ms. Travis’s South Austin home but the success she had dreamed of was not quickly forthcoming. However, despite the dismal start Ms. Travis remained steadfast in her dreams. The first four years were filled with mainly small cases typically referred to the company by Ms. Travis’s friends in the investigative community. Despite the fact that the early work performed by Ms. Travis always exceeded the client’s expectations the high profile cases always seemed to pass over her. Finally, a benevolent client requested a full-scale domestic surveillance operation and Travis Investigations was able to display its true skill and fulfill its founding purpose.
Many other domestic surveillance cases soon followed, ushered in by the success of the company’s first endeavor. Although Travis Investigations has grown significantly from it’s humble beginnings in a South Austin bedroom they still undertake every case based on Ms. Travis’s founding principles. The belief that successful investigative work relies on utilizing old fashioned attention to detail coupled with modern technology; while empathizing with your customers during what more often than not are extremely emotionally trying times. In essence it is a private investigations firm dedicated not only to results but more importantly its client’s emotional wellbeing. All work performed by Travis Investigations to this day is conducted under the close supervision of Ms. Travis and completed in the most cost efficient manner possible without sacrificing quality. Travis Investigations remains a testament to one women’s unfaltering resolve and determination to achieve her goal.
